Course Offerings
Esthetic Programs
This course of study is intended to qualify students for the
New Hampshire Esthetic Licensing Exam and prepare them for a
career in skin care. A diploma is presented to each student
upon successful completion of the 600 hour program.
The State Board of Barbering, Cosmetology and Esthetics now requires you to have hands on training and a certificate, for the following procedures and equipment.
- Chemical Resurfacing Peels
- Manual or mechanical lyphatic drainage massage as it relates to skin beautification
- Microdermabrasion or mechanical equipment for cosmetic exfoliation
- Light therapy devices
- Ultrasonic devices
- Microcurrent devices
- FDA registered Class I and II devices

CURRICULUM
The Laird Institute of Spa Therapy offers several programs in Esthetics and Spa Nail Technology.
Esthetic Programs Offered:
600 Hour Esthetics Program.
At our Manchester and Greenland campus we offer the State of New Hampshire required 600 hour course in esthetics and also an advanced course. The student who completes this course and successfully passes the state board examination will be prepared to enter into the salon as an esthetician, makeup artist, salon owner, educator, dermatologist/cosmetic surgeon assistant. The Advanced Master Esthetics 900 hour course further educates the student in more advanced techniques such as microdermabrasion, peels, advanced lymphatic drainage, ultrasound machines, chemical resurfacing, light therapy devices and eyelash extensions.

12-15 Weeks Advanced Master Esthetics Program:
The Master Esthetics program consists of advanced basic theory, demonstration, and hands on clinic time.

Chemical Resurfacing Peels
Provides superior exfoliation and is highly
effective in both reducing wrinkles, hyper
pigmeJ:~ation, also increases cell turnover,
restores hydration, firms and tones. Ultrasonic Devices
This system uses low frequency waves to perform services, which exfoliate, treat acne,
rosacea, aging and pigmentation.
Light Therapy Devices
This LED light uses a unique photo-puEation
to gradually remove signs of aging, improve
the clarity and smoothness of your client~ skin.
Microdermabrasion Devices
A non-invasive machine that uses fine crystals to
resurface the stratum corneum layer of skin and
vacuum stimulation for the epidermal layer.
Results are both instant and cumulative.
Eye Lash Extensions
Become certified on how to create Long and
Lush eyelashes for your clients.
Lymphatic Drainage
Manual Lymphatic Drainage for the face, a
technique that helps to cleanse & detoxifies

Spa Nail Program:
The Laird Institute of Spa Therapy offers a Spa Nail program consisting of 300 hours as required by the N.H. State Board.
A student who completes our course and successfully passes the state board examination will be prepared to enter the salon as a manicurist or spa nail technician.
A student who completes our spa nail program will also have training in electric file, and hot oil paraffin treatments and will also be prepared to enter the spa therapy industry.

*When taking the 600 hour Esthetic Program the course will finish at the State Board Preparation.
†Because of the course material and schedule of the 900 hour Advanced Esthetics Program, students will finish at the State Board Preparation only after completing the full 900 hours.
Should it be necessary to cancel a scheduled class commencement date due to over enrollment, the student will be offered the following options:
- A guaranteed reservation in the next scheduled class start
- Cancellation of enrollment with a full refund in tuition
